Frequently asked questions

What is SSL certificate monitoring?

It continuously re-reads your TLS certificate and alerts you before it expires or if the chain, hostname coverage or TLS version regresses — so a forgotten renewal never takes your site down with a browser security warning.

How early will I be warned before expiry?

By default at 30, 14 and 7 days before expiry, plus an immediate alert if a certificate is already expired or a new one is misconfigured. That gives automation a safety net if ACME renewal silently fails.

How is this cheaper than TrackSSL?

TrackSSL is SSL-only at around $17/month. This monitors your certificate for $5/month and bundles blacklist, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, domain expiry and DNS in the same plan, so you are not paying for four more tools.

Does it work for sites behind Cloudflare?

Yes. When a live handshake is not possible, the checker reads the certificate from Certificate Transparency logs and labels it accordingly, so you still get issuer, coverage and expiry for Cloudflare-fronted sites.

Is there a free plan?

You can monitor one domain free with daily checks. Solo ($5/mo) adds 15-minute intervals and more domains.
