Frequently asked questions
What is domain monitoring?
Domain monitoring continuously re-runs the checks that keep your site and email working — SSL, blacklists, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, registration expiry and DNS — and alerts you the moment one breaks, instead of you finding out from an angry customer.
How is this different from mxtoolbox?
mxtoolbox is comprehensive but its monitoring starts around $129/month. This bundles the same five categories — including 52-DNSBL blacklist alerting and SSL expiry — for $5/month, in one report and one alert stream.
How fast are alerts?
Paid domains are checked every 15 minutes for SSL and DNS and every 6 hours for blacklists and registration. Free domains are checked daily. You get an email the moment an issue is confirmed, and a "resolved" note when it clears.
Will I get false-positive alerts?
An alert only fires after the same issue is seen on two consecutive checks, which filters out transient blips. Repeat alerts for the same open issue are suppressed for 24 hours so your inbox stays quiet.
Is there a free plan?
Yes — you can monitor one domain for free with daily checks and email alerts, no card required. Upgrade to Solo ($5/mo) for faster intervals and more domains.
