Terms of Service
1. What the service does
RDAPWatch runs five checks against a domain — TLS certificate, DNS blocklists, email authentication (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), registration status and a DNS snapshot — and can re-run them on a schedule and alert you when something changes. Using the site means you accept these terms.
2. Accounts
Instant checks need no account. Monitoring does. Sign-in is by emailed one-time link, so anyone with access to your inbox can access your account — keep it secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the accuracy of the address you give us.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- circumvent rate limits, or automate the free checker in place of the API;
- use results to attack, gain unauthorised access to, or disrupt any system — the checks read public configuration, and that is all they are for;
- resell or redistribute the output as a competing monitoring product;
- use the service unlawfully or to infringe someone else's rights.
We may suspend an account that does these things. Anonymous use is rate-limited per IP; account use is limited by the plan you are on.
4. Plans, billing and cancellation
- The free plan monitors one domain with daily checks, at no cost and with no card.
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Their terms govern the payment itself, and your invoice comes from them.
- Cancel any time from your dashboard. Cancellation stops future renewals and your plan runs to the end of the period already paid for. We do not pro-rate part-months.
- If a payment fails or a subscription lapses, the account reverts to the free plan; monitoring beyond the free limit stops until it is resolved.
- Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice by email, never mid-period.
5. What we do and do not promise
We work hard to make the checks correct, and we would rather report "not checked" than guess. But domain health depends on third parties — registries, blocklist operators, certificate authorities, DNS resolvers — that can be slow, wrong or unreachable. So:
- the service is provided "as is", without warranty that it will be uninterrupted, timely, or free of error;
- an alert may be late or missed, and a check may report a problem that is not real, or miss one that is;
- monitoring is not a substitute for your own operational safeguards — do not rely on it alone to keep a certificate or a domain registration from expiring.
6. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including lost revenue, lost data, or a lapsed domain or certificate — and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. For free accounts that amount is zero. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Your content and ours
You keep whatever rights you have in the domains and settings you enter. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to query those domains and store the results. The site, the checking engine and its output format remain ours.
8. Public reports
Report pages are public URLs and may be indexed. Do not put anything confidential into a domain name you check. See the Privacy Policy for removal requests.
9. Ending the agreement
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaches section 3, or discontinue the service entirely with reasonable notice and a refund of any unused prepaid period.
10. Changes and contact
